Pasta – Here at the Poolside, pasta has always been an important feature of our specials board. So we’ve included the favourites from the last few years as a permanent feature on the menu. A side order of salad is included in the price. Enjoy! Rocket and pesto spaghetti – Spaghetti tossed in basil pesto and fresh rocket leaves, topped with parmesan shavings and toasted pine nuts £6.95 Chorizo pasta – Penne pasta in a rich tomato, garlic and chorizo sauce. Smoked paprika makes this dish subtly spicy £7.95 Chicken and tarragon pasta – Chunks of pan-fried chicken in a lovely creamy sauce, infused with fresh tarragon and served with penne pasta £7.95 Please note that we prepare all our food to order, during busy periods there may be a slight delay (your waitress will be able to advise you on this). We cannot accept credit/debit cards; cheques with a valid guarantee card are welcome. Tapas Menu (Available from 5.30pm) Cold Tapas Mixed olives – A mix of large green and black olives with red pepper and garlic in olive oil. £3.25 Giant Green olives stuffed with sun-dried tomatoes – A great favourite here at the café. These olives, in our opinion, are some of the best that you will taste. £3.25 Marinated anchovies - Anchovies marinated in garlic and olive oil, a classic tapas dish. £3.25 Stuffed peppers – Pepperdew peppers stuffed with cream cheese. £3.50 Basket of bread – Crusty bread served with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. £2.95 Hot Tapas Patatas Bravas – Potatoes in a rich tomato sauce. £3.50 Spanish tortilla – Traditional Spanish omelette with potato and onions. £3.50 Calamari – Lightly dusted with seasoned flour and deep fried. £3.75 Whitebait – Deep fried whitebait fillets. £3.75 Salt cod croquettes – No tapas menu would be complete without croquettes. These are made with salt cod, mashed potato and seasoning rolled in golden breadcrumbs and fried. £3.75 Garlic Mushrooms – Mushrooms cooked in olive oil, garlic and parsley. £3.75 Creamy blue cheese mushrooms – Mushrooms cooked in a heavenly creamy, blue cheese sauce. Not one to be missed! £3.95 Catalan chicken – A rich stew of tomatoes, chicken, chorizo, peppers and potato. £4.50 Garlic prawns – Tiger prawns cooked in garlic butter with a hint of chilli. We would recommend ordering a basket of bread to soak up the juices of this dish! £4.75 …..Other bits and pieces!
